Loose Cannons

‘Concept Porch Thoughts’

FOR IMMEDIATE LEAK

ACCORDING to Australian writer and award-winning film producer, Frank Howson, rumours that surfaced within the showbiz industry about a new comedy series that he has co-created and co-written called Loose Cannons with the creator and author of Porch Thoughts, Mark Richardson, are undeniably inaccurate and definitely false.

Last week in Melbourne, sources close to the Howson, tried desperately to get him to open up and confirm the rumours during an impromptu ‘Happy Hour’ meet and greet session organised by the Howson camp. “I’m telling you now, my lips are sealed and no matter how many ‘buy one – get one free’ drinks you put in my hand, I can assure you all, there is no such show. Feel free to keep trying though!”

Three hours later, Howson’s story completely changed. “Loose Cannons is going to be a hit I tell you, a hit! It’s cleverly written and it’s definitely a show (thanks, mate can I have a little more ice in that one please, cheers!) a show about ‘SOMETHING’. The world has had enough watching TV shows about nothing; this show is definitely about ‘SOMETHING’.

When questioned about teaming up with Mark Richardson, Howson commented, “Mark is a very clever and witty writer, although he has a stalker’s approach to his work. Mark first interviewed me last year at Derby Day, then featured me in one of his showbiz newspaper columns and then filmed a Porch Thoughts behind-the-scenes story of me directing artist Kole Dysart’s music video clip for his song, Hong Kong Lover.’ If you don’t believe me, ask showbiz veteran Greg Evans how many times Mark has interviewed him over the years. I’ve counted 7. Mark is primarily focussed on Porch Thoughts and I am certain that he will post something about this LEAK on his website – just wait and see.”

Howson continued, “Although we have both signed strict confidentiality agreements with seventeen interested parties relating to the content and future storylines, I can confirm that two executive producers overseas have invited us to meetings to develop the concept. I am not at liberty to say which countries will likely be involved at this stage, but I can’t wait to ‘holiday’ in Hong Kong in June, whilst Mark is ‘holidaying’ in Indonesia at the same time.”

Howson promptly ended the meet and greet session when sighting the show’s co-creator and co-star walking into the venue. “Mate, where have you been? I’ve said nothing about something… or was that something about nothing…either way, drink-up. I’ll be right back. Just remember Mark, I know how the showbiz industry works…“It’s the LEAK we had to have.”
